Seattle Art Walk
May 2024
Pioneer Square, Mohawk Showroom

First Thursday Art Walk has been a staple in Seattle for the past 40 years. In 1981, a group of visionary Pioneer Square art dealers printed the first walking maps and painted footprints on the sidewalks outside leading to their galleries. On the first Thursday of the month, they collectively encouraged arts patrons to come and tour each of the Pioneer Square galleries in the spirit of having a community event. It has been a dream of mine since moving to the city in 2021 to participate as a featured artist!
My opportunity came this past May thanks to the wonderful staff at the Mohawk Group flooring showroom. They wanted to feature a gallery by a local artist/interior designer. My goal for this exhibit was to showcase all my personal favorites and to fill the space with color. I featured my Eugene Hometown Series from 2020 where I interviewed local bands and designed prints for their EP releases.
